There are several ways to obtain
information about a specific DMACC program or major: schedule
an appointment with an advisor or
counselor, call 800-362-2127 to have information sent
to you, or view
the Program Information Briefs on-line.
How
do I apply for admission to DMACC?
To apply for admission, simply
complete our application form. You can apply
on-line or call 800-362-2127 to have an application sent
to you. If you plan to be enrolled as a full-time student,
then you must also complete our required
assessment before registering for classes. Many programs
have additional admission requirements; complete information
on the admission requirements for your program is printed
on the Program
Information Brief.
How
do I apply for financial aid?
The first step in order to receive financial aid is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA.) Complete and submit the FAFSA online. It is important to file the FAFSA as soon after January 1st as possible to ensure you receive priority processing.

How
much does it cost to attend DMACC?
For
current tuition and fees click here. Your total bill will
be based on the number of credit hours for which you are enrolled.
Additionally, you will need to budget an average of $300 per
semester for books and supplies. Some programs of study will
require you to purchase a uniform, tools or other items, and
it is important to budget for these costs as well. Complete

Does
DMACC have student-housing options?
Campus View Apartments are located on the Ankeny Campus and Borgen Square Apartments are located directly across from the Boone Campus.
Do
you help people find jobs when they graduate?
The
DMACC Student Employment Assistance Office will assist
you in developing your resume, filling out applications properly,
and honing your interviewing skills. If you register with
the Student Employment Assistance Office, they will also notify
you about job opportunities in your field.

What
is the average starting salary for someone with this major?

When
can I start taking classes?
DMACCs academic schedule
includes three terms each year. Our Fall Term usually starts
in late August and concludes in mid-December; our Spring Term
begins in early January and runs until early May; and our
Summer Term is usually held from late May through early August.
Some of our programs allow you to start classes any term;
other programs limit students to starting in a particular
term. The starting term for each major is listed on the Program
Information Brief.
Are
classes offered at night?
Many DMACC classes are offered
both days and evenings. Advisor
or counselors are a good source of when classes are available
and what majors can be completed at night.
Can
I transfer classes from another college to DMACC?
Yes, you can transfer classes
to DMACC from other accredited colleges. In order to do this,
you must first apply to DMACC for a particular major or program
of study. You then must have your official transcripts sent
from each previous college attended. Upon receiving your application
and transcripts, our Credentials Office will review your transcripts
and send you a credit transfer evaluation. This evaluation
will detail which classes transfer to DMACC as well as how
they transfer (the DMACC course equivalent for your transfer
class).
