DMACC Sean Moore Named Division II Athlete of the Week
The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has named Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) freshman Sean Moore of Coralville the Division II Athlete of the Week.
Moore, a second baseman, helped DMACC to three wins in a four-game series against Ellsworth Community College (ECC) on April 16 and 17. He collected seven hits in 11 at-bats, drove in seven runs and scored three runs. He finished the four games with a .636 batting average and a .615 on-base percentage.
For the season, Moore is hitting .329. He has 54 hits, including 11 doubles, two triples and five home runs, and has driven in 38 runs. The Bears are 33-13 overall and lead the ICCAC Division II standings with a 12-4 mark.
