Tiffany Bormann from Preston High School Signs National Letter of Intent to Play for DMACC

Bormann was a First Team Big East All-Conference selection and Big East All Conference Most Valuable Player during her senior year. She was also named to the Northeast Iowa All District Team and was an All-State Third Team selection.

As a junior, Bormann was again named to the Big East All Conference First Team, the Northeast Iowa All District Team and an All-State Honorable Mention.

As a sophomore, Bormann was a Big East Conference Second Team selection.

Bormann is a five-sport letter winner. As a sophomore and junior, she was named to the Big East All Conference First Team in basketball. She holds the Preston High School single game record of 19 rebounds. She set a new Preston High School volleyball record for blocks in a season and she had tied the school high jump record of 5’ 5”. As a junior, she received All State Recognition as a High Jumper.

“Tiffany is a multi-talented athlete who excels on the volleyball and basketball courts, the softball diamonds, the high school tracks and on the cross country courses,” said DMACC Head Volleyball Coach Patty Harrison. “Her athleticism and versatility are attributes that we can’t wait to see at DMACC.”

Bormann is the daughter of Sherri and Keith Bormann of Preston.

Bormann joins the Bears, who have advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II National Volleyball Tournament for the past three consecutive years. The Bears finished eighth in the national tournament and had a 41-9 overall record in 2008.
