Grundmeier to Play Volleyball at DMACC

Grundmeier has been a four year letter winner. She was named a First Team All-Conference selection all four years during her high school career. In addition, she was named to the First Team All-District Teams during her sophomore, junior and senior seasons and was named to the Second Team All-District during her freshman year.

Grundmeier was a Second Team All-State selection during her sophomore year and a First Team All-State selection as a junior and senior.

Grundmeier helped Ridge View to the state tournament all four years, including a runner-up finish during her junior year. She was named to the 2009 State All-Tournament Team and was the 2008 Storm Lake Times Player of the Year.

Grundmeier is the daughter of Sharmin and Dennis Grundmeier.

“Roxanne has been an All-State selection while in high school and we’re looking forward to having a person of her caliber playing for DMACC at the collegiate level,” said DMACC Head Volleyball Coach Patty Harrison. “She is our first signee for the 2011 season.”

She joins the Bears, who have advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II National Volleyball Tournament four of the last five years. The Bears had a 26-15 overall record in 2010
