Knoxville High School Basketball player Lacy Stevenson has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball for the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Boone Bears.
Stevenson helped the Knoxville Panthers win the Little Hawkeye Conference Title during her senior season and advance to the Girls State High School Tournament. Under Stevenson’s leadership, Knoxville had a 44-5 record over the past two seasons.
Stevenson is a honors student who has been President of the Knoxville 4-H Club.
“What I like about Lacy is she cares about her game,” said DMACC Women’s Head Basketball Coach Steve Krafcisin. “I like the idea that she is aggressive and not afraid to shoot the ball. I’m real excited having Lacy join the team. She fits what I’m looking for.”
Stevenson is the daughter of Tamra and Rick Stevenson.
