DMACC Women's Basketball Players Earn Academic Honors
Eleven members of the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) earned academic honors for National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XI.
Named to the Region XI All-Academic First Team were sophomores Katlyn Wood of Monroe and Caitlin Axland of Irwin and freshman Carrie Wood of Norwalk, Ann Walker of Brayton, Samantha Thrapp of Davenport and Ashley Hagedorn of Irwin. The criteria for first-team recognition included having a grade point average of 3.50 to 4.00
Second team honors went to sophomore Carli Bunning of Boone and freshmen Lacy Stevenson of Knoxville, Kelsey Coots of Bettendorf, Karlie Warehime of Gowrie and Heidi Manken of Ogden. The criteria for second team recognition included a grade point average of 3.00 to 3.49.
