Former DMACC Athlete Plays in NBA Summer League
Former Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Boone Bears basketball player Ian Young is now playing with the Golden State Warriors in the National Basketball Association’s Summer League.
Young played for DMACC during the 2001-02 and 2003-03 seasons where he received All-American honors. He played on the DMACC team that finished fourth in the nation during the 2001-2002 season.
After leaving DMACC, he completed his collegiate career at Auburn University.
Young has been playing professional basketball overseas since his graduation
from college.
