Diesel Technology Career AcademyThis Tech Prep program prepares students for a career in the area of diesel repair. Instruction is in the repair, maintenance, and testing of diesel engines, power trains and components of trucks and construction equipment. A total of 21 DMACC credits are available upon completion of all DMACC Career Academy course offerings. Schedule:

| Year One Classes | |
| DSL 546 | Power Trains I – 6 credits Class and lab activities in the design and operation of drive train components including clutches, manual transmissions, drive lines, rear axles, and wheel bearings. |
| DSL 605 | Hydraulics & Brakes – 5 credits The study of basic mobile hydraulics. Introduces principles, components, fluid systems and circuits of hydraulic systems. Vehicle braking includes study of hydraulic and air brake systems. |

| DSL 145 | Basic Electricity - 5 credits An introduction to basic electricity and electronic principles that apply to diesel powered equipment. Systems and components covered include starting, charging, lighting and accessories. |
| DSL 555 | Power Trains II – 5 credits Instruction will include the basics of automatic transmissions, power shift transmissions, final drives and hydrostat drives. |
