Certified Nurse Aide Training

A semester-long Tech Prep program offering CNA training only is available at several locations.  A total of 6 DMACC credits are available upon completion of this semester program.
* Courses require extended clinical sessions in evenings and/or weekends

Schedule:

  • Ames Career Academy/Hunziker Center
    Fall Semester: M-F 7:00-9:15am;
    Spring Semester: M-F 7:50-9:50am or 12:50-2:50pm
  • Nevada High School

  • Roland – Story High School
    Contact Roland-Story High School guidance department for schedule and registration information.

DMACC credits you can earn while in high school:
HSC 172 *Nurse Aide 75 Hours – 3 credits
Entry level skills to seek employment in Iowa skilled facilities. Meets OBRA87 standards.
HSC 182 *Advanced Nurse Aide – 3 credits
A continuation of Nurse Aide to provide additional skills and clinical to work in hospital. Prerequisite: A DMACC sponsored 75 hour Nurse Aide class or HSC172
