Community Leadership
Non-Profit Leadership
Nonprofit organizations play a dynamic and integral role in our communities. Central to the success of any organization are the knowledge, tools, and skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing environment. These courses offer training opportunities to staff and managers of nonprofit organizations who wish to advance their leadership skills and their agency mission.
Taking just one or two classes may meet your professional development needs. However, if you wish to earn a Non-Profit Leadership Certificate of Completion, you must take the six core courses: How to Start a Non-Profit, 2-Day Grant Writing Workshop, Leading a Non-Profit, Basic PR and Marketing for Non-Profits (offer every fall) and Results Based Administration, and Non-Profit Strategic Planning (offered each spring). These six core courses total 52 contact hours. Ten courses, 76 contact hours, will be offered in each school year. View brochure for spring program.
