DMACC's bookstore, The Knowledge Knook, offers many services listed below to provide for student convenience. In addition to course requirements, the bookstores stock supplemental study aids, paper products, office supplies, magazines, calculators, cassette recorders, computer supplies, seasonal and everyday greeting cards, imprinted gift items and up-to-date college fashions.
Mail Order: Textbooks and supplies are mailed to students if requested. Upon receipt of the mail order form and full payment, materials are sent via United Parcel Service (UPS) or FedEx ground.
Financial Aid Users: Orders using Financial Aid will be held until Financial Aid is released. Please read and agree to the Terms and Conditions Page before completing the transaction.
Special Order: Special orders are sent to Ankeny Campus for processing. A request form needs to be completed and a five dollar deposit received with each order.
Check Cashing: Any registered student, with a proper picture ID, may cash a check in an amount up to ten dollars for cash. (Ankeny Campus only).
Laminating: Materials will be laminated for a nominal fee.
Facsimile Transmission: The Ankeny Campus bookstore will transmit letter and legal size materials for a fee. There is an additional fee for long distance within the United States
Postage Stamps: First class postage stamps are available at all campuses

Tips for ordering books online:
- Please note the following before beginning your order: Orders may take 7-10 business days to reach your residence. To insure you have your books for your first class period. You may need to arrange travel to the bookstore.
- Completed orders on this site will be shipped; the Ankeny and Urban bookstores ONLY will offer prepaid store pickup of textbook online orders. This site may also be used to check the availability of texts, just do not complete the order by adding items to your basket or by checking out.
- Prices and availability are subject to change. The bookstore reserves the right to substitute a new book when a used book becomes unavailable or a used book when a new book becomes unavailable.
- Have your schedule or current class catalog, displaying your correct class section and synonym numbers, in hand to proceed. One of these aids will also be needed to locate your books at the bookstore. When ordering on the website, please make sure that you have selected the correct campus for your class. Books will vary from campus to campus. ALL ONLINE BOOKS are located at the Ankeny campus.

Extended, Break & Summer Hours:
