Computer Classes at DMACC Urban Campus

Two computer classes are being offered at the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Urban Campus starting in February.

Computer and Internet Basics (Course #25585) will be offered Mon., Feb. 4, 11 and 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Bldg. #2 Room 101 on the DMACC Urban Campus.  In this course, you will learn about the computer components, what the Windows operating system is and how to make the best use of it, how to navigate the Internet and the basics of e-mail. The cost is $99.  Advanced registration and payment are due by Mon., Jan. 28.

Excel Basic (Course #25587) will be offered Mon., Feb. 25, Mar. 3 and Mar. 10 from 6 to 8:30 p.m., in Bldg. #2 Room 101 on the DMACC Urban Campus.  In this class, you will design basic spreadsheets, modify and format at worksheet, perform calculations, develop and print a workbook and customize layouts.  A textbook and CD are included.  The cost is $109.   Advanced registration and payment are due by Mon., Feb. 18.
