DMACC Hosts Indoor Miniature Golf Outing

Des Moines Area Community College’s (DMACC’s) Fashion/Design, Marketing and Management Delta Epsilon Chi students are hosting their fifth annual “Balls in the Halls” miniature golf outing from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wed., Feb. 20 in Bldg. #6 on the DMACC Ankeny Campus.

The student clubs, along with local business partners, will create and sponsor their own hole to create an 18-hole golf course in Bldg. #6.  There is no cost to golf, although donations are welcome.  Anyone donating $5 or more is eligible to win prizes.  All money raised from donations and/or pledge sheets will go to sponsor the Heart Connection Children’s Cancer Programs. 

The Heart Connection Children’s Cancer Programs provide the only summer camp in Iowa devoted exclusively to children with cancer.  Its sibling program is one of the few offered nationwide.

The summer camps are provided at no cost to the families through generous support of private individuals, clubs, organizations, special events, corporations and foundations.
Over the past 22 years, the DMACC Fashion/Design, Marketing and Management Delta Epsilon Chi students have raised more than $285,000 for Heart Connection.
The miniature golfing event is open to the public.  Putting times are not necessary.
