Please NOTE: If you are off-campus and try to use these forms, you may be prompted for a login and password. Use your DMACC email login ID (without the "@dmacc.edu"), but with DMACC\ in front of your login ID and then your DMACC email password. For example: DMACC\absmith for the username.

1.  Re-create Course

Once a course is created, an instructor has the following three options to choose from when they first enter the course.

  1. Set up a blank course
  2. Copy content from another course
  3. Import content from file

If an instructor clicks on letter a, they will not have the option to copy content from another course at a later date.

Submitting this request will delete the course and create a new one with the identical title and CRN.

This process must be done prior to the first day of classes. This does not necessarily mean the first day of the term. Some classes start weeks after the first day of the term.

2.  Copy Content

Instructors can copy content from one course to another if they are enrolled as the instructor for both courses.  If instructors are teaching a course for the first time and do not have access to the original course, then they can use this form to request the course to be copied into their new section.   An email will be sent to the instructor when the copying is complete.

3 Create course without a CRN - Development Course

Use this form to request courses that are not yet on the scheduled for an upcoming semester.  This is the form to use if you are developing a course for a semester that has not yet been scheduled.  This course will not have a CRN assigned to it, yet.

4 Combine Sections - Cross Listing
Summer cross-listing will be open 3/13/08.

Instructors can combine multiple sections into one section by filling out this form.

This request must be done prior to the first day of class. This does not necessarily mean the first day of the term. Some classes start weeks after the first day of the term.

Content only needs to be loaded into one section for cross listing to workInstructors will be able to copy content from any of the cross listed sections into the parent course.

When courses are cross listed, a blank parent course is created. When you enter this course, it will ask you if you want to copy content from another course. At that time, you can copy the course you have ready into the new parent course.

5 De-Cross-List Cross-Listed Parent

If for some reason the cross-listed parent did not get the correct content or something else is wrong with it, there is a procedure where we can de-cross-list the cross-listed parent and then re-create it.

This request must be done prior to the first day of class. This does not necessarily mean the first day of the term. Some classes start weeks after the first day of the term.
