Painter is introduced in GRD 410 (Illustration I) and taught in GRD 428 (Illustration III).

You do not need to take Illustration II to take Illustration III.

Painter is a natural-media painting software application. Using a pen and tablet, Painter lets you simulate a wide range of art tools — from felt pens, charcoal, and colored pencils to watercolor and oils.

The advantage of an Painter is that it allows you to take digital photos and illustrations and modify them to look as if they were created with traditional materials... all with unlimited undo's!
