I f you work with several applications at the same time and you may have several windows open in each application. This can make it difficult to find just the window you need or to see your desktop. Exposé gives you instant access to any window you have open or to your desktop.
The keys to use are: F9, F10, and F11.
See all your windows at once
To see all the windows you have open at one time, press the F9 key on your keyboard. All the windows resize so you can see each one. When you move the pointer over a window, its name is highlighted. Click the window to make it active.
See all the windows in the current application
To see all the windows you have open in the application you are currently using, press the F10 key. The desktop and windows in other applications are dimmed. When you move the pointer over a window, its name is highlighted. Click the window to make it active.
See your desktop
Exposé can also hide all open windows so you can access the files, folders, and disks that appear on your desktop. Just press the F11 key and all the windows move off your screen. You can then double-click to open an item and release Exposé. Otherwise, press the F11 key again.
Switch between Exposé views
If you want to switch from one Exposé view to another, just press the key for the other view. For example, if you press F11 to hide all the open windows, you can then press F9 to see all the open windows in Exposé.
Move items using Exposé
You can move items from one place to another using Exposé. You can also copy text, pictures, movies, and sounds from one document to another. For example, you can attach a picture on your desktop to an email. First, open your email message window, then press the F11 key to hide all open windows and see your desktop. Select the icon for the picture file and start to drag it. Press the F10 key to see all your open windows. Move the pointer over the window of your email message, press F10 again, then drop the file in the window.
