I found that the program as a whole has been very helpful to me over the past 2 years. If I had to put a finer point on it I would say that the willingness of the faculty to honestly discuss the real world expectations of the profession in general has been the biggest benefit to me. My favorite author is Walt Whitman Brief Description | I am a non-traditional student who received a B.F.A. from the University of Iowa in the mid 90’s. I am a person who enjoys learning new things and have been a student of the image and graphic communication for most of my life. I feel that the move from the fine arts to graphic design has been a very natural one for me. I am married with one son and my wife and I are both native Iowans. My goal over the next five years is to find a creative team of thinkers who can put my talents to work, push me in new directions and teach me the ins and outs of the profession.
