Delta
Epsilon Chi/DECA
Delta
Epsilon Chi is an association of marketing, management, and
entrepreneurial students. DECA, as it is often referred to,
is designed to combine work experience with classroom experiences.
DECA will help you to develop skills that will give you an
edge in the job market by teaching you more about marketing,
professionalism, and leadership.
As
a member of Delta Epsilon Chi you will get involved in seminars
and competitions that will help prepare you for the 'real'
world. These experiences will show you how to deal with actual
situations that can arise. Through competitions you are taught
how to interact with customers, employees, and other professionals.
You are taught how to think on your feet at competitions,
a must for a successful career.
Many
leadership opportunities are available though Delta Epsilon
Chi. There are many roles at chapter, state, and national
levels that are filled with individuals who are looking to
succeed. Some positions that are available include chairperson
for special events, chapter officer, state officer, or even
national officer. Any of these positions will help to develop
leadership qualities such as becoming a better speaker, increasing
organizational skills, and working as a team member.
As
a member of Delta Epsilon Chi you will form a network with
business professionals which will help you find the perfect
career after college.
Through
DECA you will form lasting friendships with fellow students
from around the country that share the same goals and interests.
Most of all, you are almost certain to have tons of fun.
