DMACC Mortuary Science Program

Mortuary Science Program

Students

Students in the DMACC Mortuary Science program learn by doing, whether they participate in the on-campus option or the online option. Each student will participate in two semesters of clinicals, during which the student will assist with embalming cases and removals, as well as visitations and funerals. During the last semester of coursework, each student will be working 200 hours in a funeral home, under the direct supervision of a licensed funeral director, who is a certified preceptor.
