Credit Recovery Programs
(Local high school will determine program)

Credit Transfer Program
Students may pick up an additional 3 credits to be transferred back to home high school.
Need approval from home high school to enter program and for specific courses to be completed.

Alternative Diploma Credit Recovery Program
Earn credit back to home school district for alternative diploma. Need approval to enter program from home high school

*These programs are also available for ESL and Special Needs students

Program Policies

  • Students must sign in upon entering the Learning Center and sign out if leaving for more than 5 minutes.
  • Students are required to be in attendance for a minimum of 8 hours per week.
  • Students are enrolled in one course at a time.
  • Students have a maximum of 4 months to complete a high school level course.
  • High school level courses require 70% average for a passing grade.
  • Test scores below 60% require re-testing with the test scores averaged.
  • Failure of 1/3 of the tests results in a failure of the course.
  • Students may take a maximum of 4 tests and/or turn in 4 assignments per day
  • Students will be billed for any non-returned or damaged textbooks.

Building Policies

  • Students are NOT to loiter anywhere at the DMACC Success Center. When on site, students are to be actively working in the Learning Center. A student lounge is available for short breaks.
  • Students may use the computer lab at the Success Center. Students must be signed out of the Learning Center. Students may NOT view or download obscene material and may not change any of the setting on the computers.
  • Food and drinks are NOT allowed in the computer lab.
  • Cell phones are NOT to be used in the Learning Center.
  • Child care is NOT available at the Success Center. Please make other arrangements ahead of time.
  • Students who fail to comply with these or any of DMACC’s expectations for student conduct may be asked to leave the Success Center and attend another site.

Learning Center Hours
Monday - Thursday: 8 am - 4 pm
Friday: 8 am - 12 pm

Spring Schedule: January 7 – May 1, 2008
Closed for Holidays: January 21, March 17-23
Summer Term Begins: May 28, 2008
